OUR COPIES

The Ninth Wave by Aivazovsky. Hand-painted reproductions by artists/restorers of the Russian Museum.

All hand-painted copies made by the artists/conservators of the Art Conservation Department of the State Russian Museum are carefully reviewed by the Russian Museum Expert Copy Commission. The commission compares the copy to the original painting and appraises the professional quality of the replica. Paintings which do not meet the rigorous standards of the commission are not approved for export. Works come with full documentation. Your copy will be completely identical to the original, except in two ways. It will not have the signature of the master (beautiful and faithful to the original as our replicas are, they cannot be forgeries!). The size must also vary slightly from the original. You can follow each stage of the copying process on your own online ArtsStudio confidential web site. Paintings normally take approximately six to ten weeks to complete, depending on the scale of the work and the availability of artists in our studio.

OUR ARTISTS

Our artists are top artists/restorers working at the Exhibits Conservation Department of one of the largest museum of fine art in Europe

Our artists are top conservators working at the Art Conservation Department of one of the largest museums of fine art in Europe. All artists are highly skilled, with years of academic training in the different styles, movements and periods in the history of art. These expert technicians paint copies using only the traditional artistic techniques and materials -- many of which are no longer available, except to professional restorers. Our hand-painted reproductions are produced using only the finest natural materials. All our artwork is painted on high-quality and finely-woven linen canvas. Our artists do not use mechanical methods to produce their work, but rely on their years of training and their skill and talent as restorers and fine artists. We guarantee that your painting will be a faithful copy of the original.
